When I started building our B2B business, I quickly realized that managing leads, follow-ups, and sales opportunities from spreadsheets and scattered notes was difficult and bad for the overall business.
Too many copies of the same spreadsheet existed and we could not recollect why we created them in the first place.
The CRM options available to us were powerful, but they were often expensive and far more complicated than what a small B2B startup actually needed. So, instead of accepting that as the only option, we decided to build a simple CRM around the way we actually work.
